Position Summary: The Recovery Nurse will play a crucial role in the post-procedural care of our patients. This position requires a compassionate and skilled nurse to monitor patients during their recovery phase following procedures that typically last less than two hours. The Recovery Nurse will ensure a safe and comfortable recovery process under the supervision of our medical team. Part-Time position with potential to expand to full-time.
Two shifts per week: Tuesday and Thursday
Shift hours: 4 hours per shift (specific hours to be determined based on procedural schedule)
Responsibilities:
Monitor patients’ vital signs and overall condition during the recovery phase post-procedure.
Administer medications, perform wound care, and assist with any other immediate post-procedural needs as prescribed by the attending physician.
Provide detailed post-procedure care instructions and education to patients and their families.
Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner, including patient charts and any necessary reports.
Communicate effectively with the medical team about any concerns or complications during the recovery process.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized recovery area.
Current RN or LPN license in the state of Kentucky.
BLS/CPR certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a recovery or surgical setting.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of vascular procedures and post-care recovery preferred.
